About GetToWeight
GetToWeight exists for wellness-minded adults who want a calm, private way to understand daily energy needs and track progress toward losing, gaining, or maintaining weight.
Our purpose
We believe clarity and consistency beat noise: one honest plan, updated as life changes, without replacing your doctor or dietitian.
What GetToWeight is-and is not
GetToWeight is a tool to estimate energy needs, set a pace, and log weight and optional measurements over time.
GetToWeight is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan. Always consult a qualified professional before making health decisions.
How we calculate
- BMR: Mifflin-St Jeor using age, sex, height, and weight.
- TDEE: BMR multiplied by an activity factor from sedentary to very active.
- Daily target: Derived from TDEE, goal type, and weekly pace.
- Body fat percentage (optional): U.S. Navy circumference method when measurements are provided.
- Body shape (optional): Waist-to-hip ratio categories for personal tracking context.
These values are estimates. Real people vary; lab testing and clinical judgment are more precise where needed.
Privacy principles
GetToWeight is designed so tracking can remain on your device. We do not require sign-in and do not collect your tracking entries on our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Responsible use
If you have medical conditions, take medication affecting weight, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of eating disorders, consult a healthcare professional before behavior change based on app estimates.
